The Rotary Club Marbella is preparing to host its 18th Summer Charity Gala on Friday, July 18, 2025, in support of ADINTRE, a vital homeless charity serving the Costa del Sol. The black-tie event will take place at the magnificent Jardines de la Finca de la Concepción on the Istán road, beginning at 8:30 PM, promising an evening of fine dining and exceptional entertainment for a worthy cause.
A Tradition of Service
The Rotary Club Marbella was founded in 1979 and is one of the oldest and most established clubs in Spain, with approximately 50 members. As part of the global Rotary network of 1.4 million friends and problem-solvers who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change, the club has maintained a strong commitment to community service and charitable work for over four decades.
The club's charitable activities extend beyond this annual gala, with various Rotary clubs in the Marbella area regularly organizing fundraising events. Recent efforts have included charity fundraising lunches in aid of organizations like Aspandem and disaster relief appeals, demonstrating the consistent dedication of the Rotary community to addressing both local and international needs.
An Evening of Elegance and Entertainment
This year's gala will feature a special performance by Yanela Brooks, an accomplished pianist, composer, arranger, and singer who has worked on prestigious Hollywood soundtracks. Her impressive credentials include being chosen to sing Spain's national anthem with lyrics by Jon Juaristi before more than 30,000 people at Plaza de Colón in Madrid.
The evening begins with a charity golf tournament at Real Club las Brisas, teeing off at 10:00 AM. The individual Stableford format tournament is limited to 100 players, with registration set at €100.
For the gala itself, early-bird tickets are available at €150 until June 30, rising to €165 from July 1 until the final deadline of July 15. Guests are encouraged to retain their ticket numbers for participation in an exclusive raffle, with the Rotary Club requesting early confirmation of attendance for optimal seating arrangements.

Supporting ADINTRE's Mission
ADINTRE is a self-financing, non-profit organization that focuses on the most disadvantaged people on the Costa del Sol, with the primary goal of covering basic food needs and working with the economically marginalized from a social and inclusive perspective. The organization's work began in 2001 when President Joyce Gyimah started offering altruistic food and social support to people living on the street, and she has continued this work for over 23 years.
Joyce Gyimah's dedication to charitable work on the Costa del Sol has been recognized with an honorary BEM (British Empire Medal) award for her services to charities. Under her leadership, ADINTRE has expanded its services significantly.
The charity ensures that those without food in the area receive a healthy, satisfying meal at least five days a week, while weekly distributions include complete menus with main meals, water, bread, and dessert to homeless people in Fuengirola, with more than 500 food rations and over 2,500 kilos of food distributed in recent years.
The organization's impact extends beyond immediate food relief. ADINTRE provides extensive support including shelter for homeless people, assistance for young people to achieve social integration and employment, and comprehensive aid for victims of domestic violence. The foundation provides shelter, food, and essential supplies, with their work becoming even more critical during challenging weather conditions.
Community Impact and Recognition
ADINTRE's work has gained significant community support throughout the Costa del Sol. Recent community fundraising efforts have raised €50,000 for the homeless charity, while other initiatives have successfully raised €11,700 specifically to fund daily shower facilities at their shelter for an entire year.
The charity has also benefited from larger community initiatives, with one festival raising more than €155,000 for 11 Málaga-based NGOs fighting against poverty and social exclusion, bringing together more than 3,000 people.
How to Participate
Those wishing to support this worthy cause can participate in several ways. Golf tournament registration and gala tickets can be purchased through direct contact with the Rotary Club Marbella. The club also welcomes additional donations, including the purchase of tickets for those unable to attend and gifts for the charity raffle.
